I design Websites that meet the W3C Web Standards working with PHP, XHTML, CSS or PERL.
You might ask what good do these standards do? To answer, the most commonly asked questions about websites, from a Business Perspective, as detailed by Jared Spool in an interview on the subject, I detailed the questions and answers in http://jaqui-greenlees.net/webdesign-standards.html
If you are interested in getting an estimate for a custom designed website for your business, contact me with the details of what you would like.
Why is this site so basic?
I specifically chose a basic look and feel for this site, to show that all the fancy stuff just detracts from site visitors getting to the 'meat' of the site, the content.
This site is completely formatted using xhtml and css, there is no javascript, or frames used in this site. The inspiration for the css came from CSS PLaY by Stu Nichols
Could I have presented this in a multimedia or flash site?
Yes, but that would have stopped roughly 75% of the world from viewing it. It would also have made it harder for search engine spiders to index the site for the Search engines.
